Until a few years ago I would never recommend games on a laptop. The cost of a top model of the laptop was very high, and even then the performance was not nearly a gaming PC. But times have changed, the hardware engineers have succeeded in miniaturizing the latest technologies and cost tailspin. So if I where you together my dream gaming laptop, which I would say it?
Processor: You should be on the lookout for an IntelMulti-processor chips. At the moment, the strongest one of Intel's Core 2 Extreme quad-core processor. It has 12 MB of total L2 cache and a 1600 MHz front-side bus.
Screen: Laptop screens vary 14 to 17 inches. For a gaming laptop you a 17-inch screen with 12,000 pixels high definition.
Video Card: NVIDIA MAKES the best gaming graphics cards for the laptop. You may choose from NVidia site to seewhat's out. Currently achieve their best card is the GeForce 9800M GT in a dual GPU SLI configuration. It has 1GB of dedicated memory and supports DirectX 10.
Memory: 4 gig DDR2 memory. It makes no sense, with more memory than that, at this time.
Gaming mouse: The touchpads are awful for games. I recommend my favorite gaming mouse like the Razer Lachesis, or a gamepad, if you prefer one of these.
DVD / Blu-ray DiscPlayer: With this equipment you will be able to enjoy high definition Blu-ray discs, so you should have a player who can handle it. Also get that a double-layer DVDs can read. Double-layer DVDs hold twice the data that contains an older DVDs.
The hard drive I would go with 7200 rpm 250GB SATA with NCQ. If you need more space, I would further add 250-GB drive. Now I know some people would say, go with the 1 TB drive, while others have a solid state, it is recommendeddrive. The problem with the larger discs are that you do not get the same RPMs, you can out of it, which makes them slower. The solid state drives are more stable, but I do not believe that the technology is still as fast as conventional drives.
Operating System: Must have Windows Vista.
With this setup you will easily be able to games that bring even the best gaming PCs to their knees to handle.
